Screen printing, also referred to Silk Screen Printing, is an old age printing method that is still as relevant today with a long list of applications. It has excellent coverage properties, very strong, long lasting and holds it’s colour well without fading.
The basic method involves creating a stencil on a fine mesh screen, and then pushing ink through to create an imprint of your design on the surface beneath. The reason that the screen printing technique is so widely used is because it produces vivid colours. The ink also lies in layers on the surface of the paper or board, which gives the print a pleasingly tactile quality. There is a wide range of different ink types and specialist colours that really stand out.
